Jesse Salmeron

Jesse Salmeron studied English/Creative Writing and Theatre at the University of Houston graduating with Honors.

In 2013, Mr. Salmeron completed his first feature film, Dreamer, which he wrote, produced, directed and edited. Although made on a micro budget, the film would go on to be nominated for Imagen's Best Film Award and Best Actor Award. Jesse was also a finalist for the National Association of Latino Independent Producers’ Estela Award for Best New Director.

Dreamer would become an Official Selection at many film festivals, such as Cinequest and the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival. The film would also be screened at various prestigious universities including Harvard and Georgetown. The film went on to have its international premiere at the Oaxaca Film Festival in Mexico and its television debut on NUVO TV.

Jesse has written over 10 screenplays ranging from existential meta comedy to gritty, powerful drama for both film and television. He is currently working on a feature drama, a feature comedy, and a novel.
